Budget 2013: On-campus startup incubators get a boost
Budget 2013 has started on a good note for startups. Funds provided by corporates to business incubators located in academic institutes will be considered as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Such incubators, which are mostly set up in engineering colleges like the IITs, NITs and other institutes like the PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, largely depend on government funds to invest in startups that are incubated at these centres.
